Janice Daue Walker
Janice is serving as the Executive Director Rebuilding Together Boston. She has more than 30 years’ experience working in corporate, financial and digital communications as well as nonprofit leadership. From 2015-August 2020, Janice served as Vice President of Corporate Communications for the United States Postal Service in Washington, DC. There, she was responsible for all aspects of internal and external communications. During her tenure, she led the Postal Service’s efforts to advance public understanding of their products, services, and overall mission, reporting directly to Postmaster General Megan Brennan – 1st Female PMG and CEO.
Prior to working for the Postal Service, Janice founded a consulting firm that provided a wide range of communications services to companies of all sizes and was based in the Boston area. She also headed student lending communications for Cognition Financial, formerly known as First Marblehead in Boston. She served as Co-Chair of the Rebuilding Together Boston board from 2013-2017. In addition, performed on a subcommittee of Harvard’s Joint Center for Housing Studies. She also served on Rebuilding Together’s National Board from 2003-2010.
For nearly two decades, Janice also held various communications positions at Fannie Mae in Washington, DC., including director of Regional Communications and VP of News and Public Affairs. She also headed Communications for The Enterprise Foundation in Columbia, MD in the mid-nineties.
She is a member of The Boston Club and is a trustee of the Board of Visitors and Governors of Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland.
