Rebuilding Together Boston at Princeton House with Lockheed Martin
Lowell, MA – A dedicated team from Lockheed Martin Aerospace and Defense Company joined Rebuilding Together Boston at the Princeton House in Lowell on October 17th for an extremely productive Rebuild.
The Princeton House is a senior living and residential care community for Veterans located in the Lowell highlands. Rebuilding Together Boston has visited the Princeton House before and was returning to make additional repairs including painting, landscaping, and safety projects.

Volunteers arrived in the morning and began work immediately. Groups set up on the front and back porches, chipping away old paint and sanding the surfaces to prep for a fresh, vibrant coat. Working all around the property, volunteers trimmed shrubbery and cleaned up the lawns.
On the right side of the house, volunteers used wire brushes to clean moss and paint chips from the fire escape in preparation for painting. This project took up a majority of the Rebuild day, and volunteers were applauded for their dedication to fixing this portion of the house.
Inside, volunteers worked to repaint both the TV room and main hallway a cheerful yellow. The flooring was removed in one bedroom and replaced with new LVP tiles by a group of Lockheed Martin experts.
Finally, a group of individuals finished assembling a new set of lawn furniture, complete with a solar powered light center piece. Once finished, the team enjoyed lunch and cake before cleaning up and heading home.
The day was a success with plenty of thanks pouring from the Princeton House residents and staff and the local ABC network, Channel 5, covering the story in their Five for Good segment. Rebuilding Together Boston thanks Lockheed Martin for their effort and achievement during this Rebuild day and the Princeton House’s warm welcome.
