Rebuilding Together Boston with Sika at Jackson Mann Community Center

Allston, MA – On October 23rd Sika volunteers met Rebuilding Together Boston in Brighton to restore the halls of the Jackson Mann community center. Volunteers arrived in the morning and laid out the day which consisted of mainly painting in various rooms of the building. After a short tour of the areas which they would be working in, volunteers split into three groups and set to work.

In the front lobby, volunteers laid tape and began painting the window trims and doors. A rewarding and satisfying experience to see the area go from an old blue color to a new, sleek grey.

In the back break room, two volunteers worked at stripping the area of old carpet and trim. After clearing the room, the two began installing brand new, waterproof vinyl plank.

Another group worked in the community center’s unique music room, which provides a quiet place for community members to work, practice, and study. These volunteers prepped and repainted the office cubicle from green to a vibrant orange color.

We appreciate Sikas’ commitment as we work to support Boston area homeowners and non-profit facilities. Thanks to their generous donation of $5,000, Sika was able to help RTB in supporting the children and adults of Brighton who depend on the community center.
